Doctoral degree administration
The Graduate Research School (GRS), assisted by the Doctoral Research Committee (DRC), provides information and administrative and management services for doctoral degrees, and advises the Academic Board on matters relating to doctoral degrees. This includes receiving and processing all applications for Doctoral degrees; managing enrolments; monitoring candidatures; and arranging Doctoral examinations.
The Dean of the GRS is also the Chair of the DRC. The DRC isresponsible for policy and quality assurance of Doctoral degrees. The committee, which usually meets on the third Friday of each month (except for January), comprises of academic and student representatives, with secretarial support from the GRS (see the link below for further information).
Currently Massey has over 1000 students enrolled in a Doctoral degree across all three campuses. The GRS work closely with the International Students Office and Colleges with respect to the administration of Doctoral students.
